Whether you are thinking of visiting or you are on the island already - these are some helpful bits of information and tips for you
Visit the Shelter!
The Zante Strays shelter is open 7 days a week, 9am - 12pm
There is no need to book, or let us know you are coming - anyone is welcome to turn up!
The dogs will be in the playground taking it in turns to have a run around, and if the weather allows, you will be able to walk some dogs if you'd like to
If you'd like to bring any donations, this is a list of things that are always helpful:
Dry dog food
Wet dog food tins
Puppy food
Cat food
Flea, tick & worming tablets/spot ons
Slip leads
Poo bags

If you are on holiday in Zakynthos already and come across an animal, here are some helpful tips on what to do.
Sadly we cannot take in cats at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting a cat, please contact Purrfect Beginnings on Facebook for more information
Please do not remove any animal you have found from the street unless the animal needs urgent medical care and you are willing and able to get it to a vet immediately
