Sarah

Sarah was found by a volunteer running down a busy road to a cat's feeding station. She is a lovely sweet girl good with other dogs and doesn't chase cats. She very affectionate with people and plays with the other dogs. She can walk with and without a lead and likes to travel with the car.

She has tested positive for Leishmania at low levels - Leish is a disease dogs contract through being bitten by a sandfly which only exists in Mediterranean countries. Leish is controlled by daily medication, with early detection and being aware of symptoms being key to ensure it can be kept under control, as well to treat any possible relapses later on in life. A dog with Leish can live totally normal and happy lives with the right treatment and knowledge.
